Operation Safe Child (OSC), a division of Great Lakes Marketing Research (GLM), conducts consumer product safety testing and the testing of child resistant packages, lighters, and other products according to federal and international regulations. The quality management system (QMS) developed for this division is the composite of all the people, systems, policies, and documents that oversee the administrative, quality, and technical systems of our organization. The objectives of this quality management system are to:
GLM obtained ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation in 2015 after undergoing an audit conducted by the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB). This assessment was performed onsite to assure that all operations are compliant with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 and the ANAB accreditation program. This also included an assessment of our quality management system (QMS) and personnel, and an offsite review of quality documentation, processes, and procedures related to the proposed scope of accreditation.
The ANAB audit determined that GLM met all of the requirements for ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. ANAB conducts annual audits with GLM to ensure that all requirements continue to be met in order to retain accreditation.
